About
Join students and faculty from across the health professions for an interactive IPE session mapping the real AI tools showing up in practice today—from ambient scribes to predictive risk models to smart home diagnostics. We'll explore the ethical and environmental consideration of the use of these tools.
By the end of this session, students will be able to:
- Identify current and emerging AI tools used in health professions practice, such as ambient scribes, predictive risk models, and smart home diagnostics, and describe their role in the assessment and evaluation process.
- Analyze the ethical considerations (e.g., privacy, bias, informed consent, clinical accountability) and environmental impacts associated with the use of AI tools in healthcare settings.
- Discuss the implications of AI-driven assessment and evaluation for interprofessional practice, including how clinicians can critically evaluate and responsibly integrate these tools into patient care.
