Welcome to the Department of Psychology's website. This is a resource area for current and prospective majors and minors, as well as anyone with an interest in psychology. Please take a moment to look at our mission statement and what we value. Are you considering a degree in psychology at Salem State? We offer both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees, as well as graduate study at the Masters level. Graduates of psychology programs can use their degrees in a variety of ways. Many go onto jobs in related areas, or onto graduate study. Check out our links to the undergraduate program for further information. A number of our students complete research projects and practica that prepare them for further study or related activities. Our faculty represent a diverse breadth of knowledge, expertise, and experience in psychology. Our department has also recently acquired new equipment and software for studying behavioral and physiological reactions in real time.
