David J. Silva Appointed Provost and Academic Vice President

Salem State University President Patricia Maguire Meservey has announced that Massachusetts native David J. Silva will join the university’s administrative team, serving as provost and academic vice president beginning March 1. Silva is currently vice provost for faculty affairs at the University of Texas at Arlington.


Salem State Named to 2014 Presidential Honor Roll

For the second consecutive year, the university has been named to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, the highest federal recognition an institution can receive for its commitment to community, service learning and civic engagement.
