On behalf of the student life office, welcome to the Salem State community! We have a rich and proud history of educating students from the Commonwealth, the nation and the world. We are pleased that your daughter, son or family member has chosen us and we look forward to interacting with them through their academic tenure and eventual graduation.
The transition to college life can be both exciting and frightening for new students and their families. We provide many services and programs to help new students become comfortable with the college environment. Research has shown that out-of-classroom involvement is critical to student success, so student life constantly develops new programs, both to help our students become connected to the college and to ensure their success.

Do you have a special dish that is your student’s favorite? A treat that they look forward to when they come home or that they miss if they’re away at school? Why not share your recipe with the rest of campus? Please tell us your recipe and we will post them on the Salem State web page. Chartwells food services will even attempt to re-create one families’ favorite dish in the dining hall. Click on the link above to access the recipe form.
