How to Advocate for Palestinian Rights in a Fraught Climate

Speakers: Professor Avi Chomsky (Department of History) and Professor Noel Healy (Geography and Sustainability Department)

We will discuss the urgency and the obstacles facing efforts to advocate for Palestinian rights in the context of Israel's war on Gaza, legal charges of genocide against Israel, the major role that the United States plays, and charges of anti-Semitism leveled at those who protest against Israel. Learn about the importance of social movements in opposing wars, and the importance of community building.
