Who we are

Salem State University is a comprehensive four-year public university offering more than 35 undergraduate and graduate programs in the College of Arts and Sciences, the Bertolon School of Business, School of Graduate Studies, and the College of Health and Human Services. 

In addition to specific major requirements, all undergraduate students complete a liberal arts core emphasizing the importance of an integrated approach to learning.

More than 80 percent of the student body works a minimum of 20 hours a week in addition carrying to a full-time academic schedule. The result is a highly qualified candidate with a strong work ethic, experienced in multi-tasking, and comfortable working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
