Yoga for Healing: 5-Week Yoga Series

Counseling and health services is offering two 5-week Yoga for Healing Series in the spring semester. Please share this information with students who may be interested. Students can begin to sign up now through the link below. 

This yoga series is based on Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga, and it is intended to support individuals wherever they are in their healing process. This style of yoga has been shown to help reduce trauma-related symptoms when used alongside talk therapy. Being in therapy is recommended but not required for participation. 

Yoga Series Session 1

  • Wednesdays, 9:30-10:30 am
  • January 29-February 26
  • The facilitator will take referrals for session 1 until January 22, 2020

Yoga Series Session 2

  • Wednesdays, 9:30-10:30 am
  • March 25-April 22, 2020
  • The facilitator will take referrals for session 2 until March 18, 2020

Other information

  • No prior yoga experience is necessary.
  • All are welcome: the series is open to all people regardless of age, gender identity, race, ethnicity, body type, and physical ability.
  • The location of each series will be discussed after the screening process.
