Center for Civic Engagement: 2nd Annual Civic Dinner Series for 2022-2023!

Please join the Center for Civic Engagement for the 2nd Annual Civic Dinner Series! Through this series students have the opportunity to network and learn from local advocates, community leaders, and their peers on important social issues over a catered meal. These dinners assist students in building community and social capital with others who care about similar community issues.
 

Mental Health Advocacy Dinner (Ellison Campus Center: MLK Room)

Please join us for an evening of food, networking, and learning from local mental health advocates. Leaders will share information about their organization, the important role they play in the agency, and their trajectory to a career focused on advocating for mental health. They will also provide insight on some of the current issues impacting our community, share advocacy efforts their team are engaged in and how students can be effective advocates. 

 

Housing Advocacy Dinner (Viking 123)

Please join us for an evening of food, networking, and learning from local advocates addressing housing and homelessness in our community. Leaders will share information about their organization, the important role they play in the agency, and their trajectory to a career focused on advocating for housing. They will also provide insight on some of the current issues impacting the community, share advocacy efforts their team are engaged in and how students can be effective advocates.
