The Massachusetts Council on Economic Education is again sponsoring the Spring 2018 Massachusetts Personal Finance Challenge.
The challenge is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their knowledge of personal finance by competing with other students across the state in multiple-choice examinations.
Registration for the Massachusetts Personal Finance Challenge will start on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 and the online competition will be open from March 26, 2018 through April 6, 2018.
This competition is online. Any Massachusetts teacher can sign up and register his/her high school or middle school students. Once you have registered as a teacher, you can begin to create student teams of three to four students in the appropriate divisions.
This year the Massachusetts Challenges will be held only at the state level for high school students and middle school students. The arrangements for the National Finals and prizes are still in flux and do not include reimbursement for travel to Kansas City. It is hoped that the National Final will return in its original form soon. Meanwhile, the Mass Council for Economic Education will fund the state contest and the Salem State Center for Economic Education will offer the 2018 Spring Massachusetts Finance Challenge and determine the champion teams at the state level.
