Senior biology major presents paper in Utah

Haverhill resident Mark Wheeler, a senior biology major at Salem State University, recently returned from Salt Lake City, Utah, where he presented a research paper at the annual meeting of the Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology (SICB).

Wheeler, a former Marine, spent last summer studying the lipid biochemistry and biochemical adaptations of striped bass in Maine, and reported the results of those findings at the SICB conference on January 5. He expects to enter a doctoral program next year.
