Intensive English Program Calendar

The Intensive English Language Program offers two semesters (Fall, Spring). All courses follow the start dates of Salem State University. The program dates for upcoming semesters are:

Costs for Part-Time Students

Part-time students are US citizens, permanent residents, or anyone in a status that does not require university assistance with visa-related documents.

Tuition and fees for part-time students are based on the number of classes a student takes and the number of hours each class meets every week. Part-time students have the flexibility to choose a schedule that fits their needs and goals from 2-22 hours per week. Sometimes a part-time student will only take one course, but most part-time students will take two courses.

Please Note: Intensive English Language Program students have the option of purchasing private health insurance or a student health insurance plan through Salem State University. Students who opt to enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan may choose to be charged for the full semester or academic year depending on their registration plans. The total cost will be added to the student’s bill. Any students who choose to pay their bill using Salem State University’s monthly payment plan option can also include the insurance costs with their tuition and other fees.
