If You Are Not Enrolled
Are you already a Salem State student? If not, learn about what it would be like to go to school here and then fill out an application.
If You Are Enrolled
If you are a current Salem State student, start planning your classes. If this is your first year at Salem State, you will register as part of your orientation.
After your first semester, sign into your Navigator account so you can start the registration process or check your progress toward your degree.
Review Program Requirements and Progress
Use our online catalog to figure out which classes you need to take to satisfy your degree requirements. Then turn to our Degree Tracker, which is within Navigator, to determine how far along you are. View your task list in Navigator to find out if you are a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior.
Once you know the classes you need and your plan to move forward, go back into the course schedule within Navigator. From there, you can figure out when and where you want to take your classes and put them in your shopping cart.
Talk to Your Advisor
If you are already enrolled at Salem State, you are required to meet with your faculty advisor before you register. If you aren’t sure who your advisor is, log into Navigator or your Navigate App.
Register
Once you find classes that meet your requirements, needs, and schedule and talk to your advisor, register in Navigator.
