William (Bill) Evans Tap Master Class

World-renowned choreographer William (Bill) Evans is our fall 2017 dance artist-in-residence. He will work with Salem State dance students throughout the semester, developing original work to be presented at the Salem Dance Ensemble concert in December. This master class, which is open to the public, begins Mr. Evans’ residency.

A Guggenheim fellow and director of the acclaimed Bill Evans Dance Company, Evans is a professor emeritus at the College at Brockport, SUNY and distinguished professor emeritus at the University of New Mexico. Since moving to southern New England in 2014, he has taught at Dean College in Franklin, Massachusetts. He maintains an active career as a freelance choreographer, solo performer and master teacher with more than 200 of his choreographic works performed around the globe.

This opportunity is free. Participation is limited to experienced tap dancers. Observers are welcome.
