On April 29, the Salem State community will come together with Viking Spirit for our third annual day of giving—the opportunity to transform lives by building a better, stronger, more affordable Salem State. As we all adjust to the ongoing COVID-19 threat, it’s clear that the virus has had an effect on all of us. During this time of difficulty and uncertainty, we’re proud of our Viking Warriors, on-campus and around the world, who are stepping up. Whether you’re a healthcare worker on the front lines, a teacher figuring out how to teach virtually, or just getting used to working or studying remotely for the first time, we are proud to call you Vikings!
In honor of the year of our founding, we will once again be increasing our day of giving to 1,854 minutes and officially kicking off at 5:06pm, Tuesday April 28. As always, our main priority here at Salem State is the success of our students. This Viking Warrior Day, help us support our students as they face the unexpected financial hardships that come with this virus by donating to the Student Emergency Fund, or to the unrestricted fund, which gives Salem State the greatest flexibility to address the needs of our students, faculty and staff. As Vikings, we can get through this by working together! In just 1,854 minutes, we can make a difference.
From 5:06 pm on April 28 to 11:59 pm on April 29, join us as a Viking Warrior!
Be a philanthropic warrior! Many of our students work to fund their education and support themselves and their families. In some cases, it is not possible for students to continue working, having an immediate impact on their economic well-being and academic future. The Student Emergency Fund exists to provide urgent and emergency funds to our students in need, while the unrestricted fund allows the university to pivot to address unexpected and pressing priorities.
Your support will help students with one-time grants to supplement their educational costs or benefit campus initiatives that address the unpredicted needs of our Viking community.
