Free Speech: Should you be able to say anything on campus?
Viking Viewpoint is a dialogue program designed to engage members of the Salem State community on topics that might be considered somewhat polarizing in order to increase the awareness and understanding of the ideas and opinions of others.
The format of the event gives each person the opportunity to voice their opinion on the topic without interruption or debate. After everyone has had a chance to share (or not share), the facilitator then opens the floor to group discussion. The comments of the group are synthesized by the facilitator who shares with the group.
