Viking Family and Parents Weekend

Welcome all Viking Supporters!

Friday, October 21 

  • Women’s Soccer vs. MCLA: Alumni Field, O’Keefe Sports Complex, 4 pm 

  • Women’s Volleyball vs. Norwich: Twohig Gym, O’Keefe Sports Complex, 6 pm 

  • Men’s Soccer vs. MCLA: Alumni Field, O’Keefe Sports Complex, 6 pm 

  • Gassett After Dark: Blacklight Dodgeball: Gassett Fitness Center, 7 pm 

Teams compete against each other in the glow of blacklight to see who will be the final team standing. Families must sign up by Friday, October 7 to participate. Email to register. 

Saturday, October 22 

First Year Family Brunch: Commons Dining Hall, North Campus, 10:30 am 

New students and families are invited to a special reception in your honor as we proudly welcome the newest members of the Salem State community. Brunch is free for family members. Students should bring their ClipperCard with them for this meal. Please register your family to attend. Email with questions.  

Viking Family Day: Harrington (Central) Campus, 11 am-5 pm 

  • Superfan Brunch for visiting parents and families, FREE for the first 100 guests, 11 am 

  • SSU Bookstore Open: 11 am-3 pm 

  • Miniature Golf: 9-hole Course, Marsh/Atlantic Quad, 12-4 pm 

  • Stuff-a-Bear-Make your own stuffed animal: Viking Hall Starbucks Café, 12-4 pm 

  • Downtown Salem Shuttle: Running continuously from SSU Bookstore Bus Stop, 12-5 pm  

“Small Mouth Sounds”: Sophia Gordon Center for Creative and Performing Arts, 7:30 pm
