US Senior Open Championship

The Salem State University Alumni Association is proud to partner with the US Senior Open Championship at the Salem Country Club in the summer of 2017.

The 38th US Senior Open to be held June 26-July 2, 2017 at Salem Country Club in Peabody, MA, will feature a field of 156 of the world’s best professional and amateur senior golfers (over the age of 50). Players who are eligible to compete include Fred Couples, Colin Montgomerie, Bernhard Langer, John Daly, Tom Lehman and Tom Watson. Fox and FS1 will provide live television coverage of all four rounds of the championship. Tickets are available now and all children 17 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult.

The US Senior Open is returning to historic Salem Country Club on June 26 - July 2, 2017. This marks the championship's return to Salem Country Club since the famed 2001 event. The 2001 US Senior Open is still considered one of the best in the championship's history with historic crowds and record-breaking attendance. Like there was in 2001, we are anticipating a sell out for the 2017 US Senior Open. Don't miss your chance to watch the best players in golf such as Bernhard Langer, Fred Couples and Tom Watson compete for the Francis D. Ouimet Memorial Trophy. Tickets for the US Senior Open start at just $25.

Volunteering for a USGA Championship puts you right in the middle of the action. You and 2,500 of your closest friends have the opportunity of a lifetime to be on the front (rope) lines as we crown the 38th US Senior Open Champion at Salem Country Club. Each volunteer is asked to work at least four, four-hour shifts, over the course of the seven-day championship.
