A Hispanic Heritage Month Film Screening Hosted by the Center for Justice and Liberation

Join the Center for Justice and Liberation as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and explore issues of identity, culture, and intersectionality through film.

José is a Guatemalan feature-film directed by Li Cheng. It was first shown at the 75th Venice Film Festival in the Giornate degli Autori section on September 6th 2018.

Film Description: José lives with his mother in Guatemala. It's a tough life in one of the most violent and religious countries. When he meets Luis, he's thrust into new-found passion and pain.

This event is open to Salem State University students and employees only, please be sure to RSVP.
