A special tribute to Charlotte Forten, Salem State’s first African American graduate. Join us for a panel discussion moderated by Elizabeth Duclos-Orsello, chairperson of interdisciplinary studies, with special guests Kabria Baumgartner, UNH professor of american studies, and Callie Crossley of WGBH’s “Under the Radar.”

Student performance by the Salem State Urban Arts Theatre, and musical tribute by Beverly Soll and Rachel Shiryayeva.
