The Mathematical X-Files

A talk by Adam Gilbert of Southern New Hampshire University

“Crazy.” “Nerd.” “Wicked smaht.” People who enjoy mathematics are often as misunderstood as the topic itself. Mathematics isn’t just about formulas and rules; it’s about the beauty of applying abstraction to understand the concrete.

In this talk, we will explore how the Mathematical X-files appear in gameplay and decision making, biological phenomena, generative art, future-casting, and as an emerging partner for literary analysis. This talk is rated for all audiences.
