New Student Info Session: Learning Communities

Status message

Please note that this event has already occurred.

Salem State University offers a number of learning communities for first-year students to sign up for as they start college.  Learning communities consist of two linked courses that students take together as a cohort (meaning the same 20 students are in both classes) around a common topic/theme. Fall 2023 learning communities are identity-based (Men of Color), major-based (Healthcare Studies majors), major/identity-based (Future Teachers of Color), and topic-based (interest in sustainability). Learn more about the sign-up process and what learning communities are all about. (Note: success coaching is available to only first-time in college, full-time freshmen.)

Please note, registration is required 24 hours in advance of the session.

Sponsored by the Office of Student Success and the First Year Experience.  Are you a new student?  Make sure you’ve followed firstyearsuccess on Instagram and joined either the Class of 2027 OR the Transfer Connections Facebook group to ask questions, get reminders, and stay on track.
