Multimedia Principles: Creating Effective Instructional Materials (Collegial Conversations Series)

In this workshop, we will explore how to effectively apply the principles of multimedia learning to designing and developing instructional materials, such as PowerPoint presentations and videos. We will focus on employing strategies to create materials designed to increase engagement and knowledge retention as well as decrease cognitive overload.

This session is part of "Collegial Conversations," an opportunity to join faculty from several local colleges to discuss various topics essential to teaching and learning in the twenty-first century.

Participating institutions include: Middlesex Community College, Northern Essex Community College, North Shore Community College, and Salem State University. Jen Baker and Andrea Milligan of North Shore Community College will be facilitating this virtual session via Zoom.
