Moderator: Dr. Steve Young, Professor, Geography and Sustainability Department

In addition to exploring disability movements, this presentation will offer discussion of the frameworks of intersectionality, critical cultural competence, and anti-oppressive practice in a way that acknowledges multi-systemic privilege and oppression for those with a range of social identities. Using a case example, we will discuss application of these approaches in helping profession settings.

This is the third panel of the CRCA spring seminar series on Disability Justice. For questions, contact Vanessa Ruget (vruget@salemstate.edu) or Steve Young (syoung@salemstate.edu).
