Did you know that Salem State has been recognized as a top producer of Fulbright scholars? Are you or one of your students interested in applying for a Fulbright grant to teach or research abroad? Join us for Fulbright Day 2023, which includes a virtual visit from a Fulbright representative to learn more about Fulbright opportunities and a luncheon to celebrate and hear some tips from past recipients.
Schedule of events
10-11 am: Discussion of Student Fulbright Opportunities | BL-209 (Faculty Reading Room)
Faculty and students to learn about student Fulbright opportunities. Fulbright has awards for both undergraduate and graduate students to travel to and study in countries all over the world.
11 am-12 pm: Virtual Meeting with Fulbright Office in DC | BL-209
Learn about the awards open to full-time, part-time, and emeritus faculty. Fulbright has recently introduced new formats, including the “flex award” for which one can travel for shorter periods to multiple destinations. Even if you are not due for sabbatical, a flex award might fit your schedule or you could consider becoming a Fulbright Specialist. For general information about faculty awards, see: https://www.cies.org
12-2 pm: Annual Fulbright Luncheon | BL-215
Join former Salem State Fulbright recipients for a networking luncheon. Get tips, encouragement, and a collegial, delicious lunch!
Register for any of the day's events and let us know if you will attend lunch.
