Educator Workshop: Combating Anti-Semitism Through Education

Part I: Coexistence and Rejection: Jewish People and Other Minorities in Modern Society

The first of two educational workshops, this seminar hosted by the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies focuses on exploring the life of Jews in pre-war Europe and the universal challenges minorities face.

Following this first session, we will explore the rise of antisemitism in Europe and its contribution to the Holocaust. In the afternoon, participants will be able to survey several episodes of genocide and mass atrocities and weigh the question of when a comparison between them is merited. In addition to Salem State faculty, the workshop will host two outside experts in the field of Jewish Studies: Professors ChaeRan Freeze and Eugene Sheppard from Brandeis University.

Register and reserve your spot for this event.
