Castle of Our Skins - Romantic by Nature

Status message

Please note that this event has already occurred.
Chamber music concert showcases works by Florence Price and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.

Castle of Our Skins, a concert and educational series dedicated to celebrating Black artistry through music, makes its Salem State debut with "Romantic By Nature." Richly indulgent and thoroughly romantic, this program includes a newly unearthed string quartet by Florence Price and the Neo-Romantic flare of Afro-British composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor in his monstrous Clarinet Quintet.

The evening includes a post-concert reception with the artists, sponsored by Salem State's Office of Inclusive Excellence.
