Salem State's Earth Days celebration lasts all week from Monday, April 10-Friday, 14, 2023. The theme this year is Climate Crises: Actions for a Just and Livable World. All events except the Student breakfast are free and open to the public. Most events occur in the Ellison Campus Center Martin Luther King Jr. room on the second floor. See the SSU Campus Map.
Highlights for Wednesday April 12 include:
- Student Sistainability Leader Breakfast with Berry IOP Fellow and Climate and Energy Policy Expert Eugenia Gibbons. Invitation only.
Demonstration: Aquaponics: Research That You Can Eat. 1:45-2:30 pm, Meier Hall 420, followed by a visit to the Greenhouse.
Biology Professor Joseph Buttner and Student Robyn Cashins will demonstrate an aquaponics system and discuss its promise as a climate solution.
Campus Cleanup from 4:30-6 pm North Campus, Meet on North Campus Quad near Meier Hall. Sponsored by the SCUBA Club.
