Alternative Spring Break Trip Info Session

Help Build Homes with Habitat for Humanity in Houston or Myrtle Beach

Want to make a difference? Looking for a place to go for Spring Break? Salem State Community Service Initiative is offering two trips to work with Habitat for Humanity in Spring Break 2018! You can help rebuild homes that were destroyed after Hurricane Harvey hit the Gulf Coast in the Houston area. Or, you can build affordable homes in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Thanks to generous support from Student Government Association and our Habitat hosts, the price is $375 per person, which includes airfare, ground transportation, lodging for the week, plus some meals. Only full-time day undergraduate students are eligible for the trips, due to the support from student fees.

Trips fly out of Boston on Sunday, March 11, 2018, and return on Saturday, March 18, 2018.

Information Sessions

Info sessions will be held on Monday, November 6 at 11 am and Tuesday, November 14 at 6:30 pm; all info sessions are in Central Campus Classroom Building Room 114.

No construction experience or skills necessary. Bring an open heart and your willingness to work hard to help others. Habitat is a hand up; not a hand out! Email service@salemstate.edu with questions.
