Understanding When Your Materials are Due

Graduate Application Deadlines

Salem State offers more than 50 graduate programs. Application deadlines vary based upon the graduate program to which you are applying.

Rolling admissions

For the majority of our programs, applications are accepted on a rolling basis for spring, summer and fall enrollment. Rolling admissions means that you can apply anytime, and once your application is completed, it is reviewed. We typically close our online application about a month before a semester begins, to ensure enough time to process your application. If you begin the application process but do not finish, then we will keep your application open and materials on file for one year only.

Programs with a deadline or that accept applications for selected semesters:

Higher Education Student Affairs Rolling admissions until full for fall enrollment only (executive and general cohorts).
MSW Saturday, Advanced Standing, and Fall Start Visit the MSW admissions page for updated deadlines.
Nursing (MSN) - Education and Leadership in Health Systems Tracks We recommend you apply by November 1 for spring admission and May 1 for fall admission.
Nursing (MSN) - Nurse Practitioner (NP) Track March 1 for fall admission.
Occupational Therapy Direct Entry Program December 17, 2018 for a fall 2019 start.
