Off-Campus Access to Databases

Using Databases Off-Campus

When prompted, use your Salem State network/wireless network user name/password to log into resources off-campus.

Use the link in Polaris to reset your password if you've forgotten it.


There are many State of Massachusetts library resources available without a user name/password:

Note: If you're physically located outside of Massachusetts, use your library barcode number to log in.

Firefox does not work for off-campus access to resources. Please use another web browser to access our resources.

If you are having trouble with other browsers, try these steps for clearing your browser cache:


Open your preferred browser and press Ctrl-Shift-Delete (Windows) or Command-Shift-Delete (Mac).


Internet Explorer:
Select Temporary Internet Files and click on Delete


Click on Obliterate the following items from: menu arrow and select the beginning of time. Select Cached Images and Files and click on Clear Browsing Data


Safari (Mac):
Click on Safari > click on Preferences > click on the Privacy tab > click on Remove All Website Data
