Giving to the Library
The Salem State University Library welcomes gifts from the community. There are several options for giving a gift to the library. A gift to the Salem State University Library is a gift to all of the members of the Salem State community.
Memorial and In Honor of Contributions
Gifts in memory or in honor of a friend or loved one are welcomed. Contributions will be used to purchase library materials. The library staff will carefully select materials and a commemorative bookplate will be placed in each item. A special library note card will be send to the family or honoree to acknowledge the gift.
We encourage local authors to donate copies of their books. These books will be plated as a special donation from the author.
Gifts of money, securities or other property can be made for future or present use. These gifts can include insurance policies, real estate, charitable trusts and bequests. Please contact the executive director of the library, or Institutional Advancement for more information on these gifts.
Salem State University Foundation
The Salem State University foundation is a private, not-for-profit organization. Its mission is to help meet its needs and goals by raising and distributing private contributions for the college. In so doing, the foundation invests and manages these contributions that meet the needs of the Salem State University community not met through public funds. Gifts to the foundation may be restricted to needs of the library.
