Honor Society

Pi Lambda Theta

If you hold a grade point average of 3.5 by the end of the third year of your undergraduate program or if you’ve earned a 3.85 by the final semester of graduate work, you’ll be invited to join Pi Lambda Theta through the formal induction ceremony we hold every spring. We encourage you to invite your family and friends to see you sign the membership book and to celebrate your academic achievements.

Pi Lambda Theta is a prestigious education honor society and membership provides opportunities to apply for scholarships, network with professionals in your field, and remain conversant with innovative approaches to teaching and education news through the society’s magazine Educational HORIZONS.

The education honor society places a strong emphasis on service. Students who have been inducted will be given additional opportunities to give back, including supporting our own community by mentoring new education students.
