Writing Intensive Curriculum (WIC) program
The Writing Intensive Curriculum (WIC) program supports, promotes and encourages the teaching of writing across the disciplines at Salem State University. The program was designed to foster and nurture a university culture that values writing and the teaching of writing, and to provide faculty, students and staff with the support and resources needed to do so.
For faculty, the WIC program offers:
- The WIC Seminar Program: a year-long program that supports Salem State faculty who will teach W-designated (WII and WIII) courses in the new general education curriculum
- WIC Brown Bag Lunch Series: hour-long workshops on various writing-related topics open to all Salem State faculty
- Instructional resources for teaching writing in the disciplines
For students, the WIC program offers:
