  • Presentation proposals (see syllabus) are due this Friday 14 (That's tomorrow!) Jim will be guest lecturer on Wednesday and will discuss the marine record of glaciation. In the new two weeks we will be covering the formation, mass balance and distribution of glaciers so read the outlines. The first quiz will be Friday Feb. 28.

  • Check out the study guide for the quiz, which has been moved to Wednesday March 5. Make sure you workout the crossword--you'll be seeing it again. I will also be requesting a problem from Jim to put on the quiz.
  • Next series of lectures will be on glacial flow and thermal regime.
3/4/03
  • I will not cover material on the study guide that was not yet covered in class (e.g. thermal regime and flow). There will be no class this Friday March 7, however I want to to download and complete the updated exercise on Antarctica. You will turn it in on Friday March 28.
