FROM THE NORTH: From Maine, New Hampshire, and other points North,
take I-93 South or I-95 South to Route 128 North. Proceed on Route
128 North to Exit 26A (Salem/ Marblehead exit). Exiting
off 26A
puts you on Route 114 East for 3.9 miles to the College. Proceed on
Route 114 East for 3.9 miles to the College. (Note: When
you exit off Route 128, take a left at the 3rd traffic light and
continue
on Route 114 East to the College.)
FROM THE WEST AND SOUTH: From New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island and
other points West or South, EITHER (1) take I-95 North and follow to Route
128 North. (Note: I-95 will adjoin Route 128 North in Massachusetts.)
Proceed on Route 128 North (approx. 46 minutes) to Exit 26A (Salem/
Marblehead exit). Follow the bold faced directions above. OR
(2) Take the Mass Pike heading East into Massachusetts to Exit 14 (I-95/
Route 128 North & South). Proceed on Route 128 North (approx. 30
minutes) to Exit 26A and follow the bold faced directions above.
FROM THE SOUTH: From Cape Cod and Boston, take I-93 North to the Callahan
Tunnel/ Logan Airport Exit. Go through the tunnel and follow signs
to Route 1A North. 1A North is a winding road with many lights. Continue
on Route 1A North for approximately 15 miles to the College.

The 455
and 459 bus routes go right by Salem State College, on routes going
from Salem Depot to downtown Boston. The Newburyport/Rockport
commuter rail line stops at Salem Depot, which is about 1 mile from
Salem State College, and gets to North Station in downtown Boston in about
30 minutes. The 451
bus goes from Salem Depot to Beverly and the 465/468
bus goes from Salem Depot to Danvers via the North Shore Mall
and the Liberty Tree Mall.
