Salem  State maintains a contract with Canteen Corporation to provide food and beverage vending machines on all College campuses. Nearly 5 dozen vending machines are conveniently located in the North & South campus academic and residential buildings, and the O'Keefe Center.
There is an ongoing effort to increase the number of vending machines and to place them strategically in effort to enhance the level of service, without interfering with normal academic activities.
