McAfee Information

Users, must first determine which engine their computer is running. Please do the following:

Look to the bottom right hand corner of your screen. You should see a series of small icons to the left of the clock. One of them should be a red V imprinted on a shield.
If you do not see a McAfee icon on your computer, you should install McAfee.

Using the right mouse button click on top of the VShield logo, on your computer (not the image above). A dialog box will open up.
Click on About.
If you are using any version of McAfee lower than v8.0, you should upgrade to a higher version now!
Upgrade Now

If you are using v4.5.1 or higher you should still check to make sure you are using the latest virus definition (DAT file).
Update McAfee Virus Definition Files (DATs)

If you are unsure whether or not you have version 3, 4, 8, or don't think you have a virus scan program on your computer, please call the Help Desk immediately at x2036.
