Transfer Admissions
SSC Academic Transfer Scholarship
This program awards monies for both part-time and full-time students. These scholarships were designed for transfer students with a minimum GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale, a minimum of 45 degree credits towards the completion of an Associate's Degree, completion of an Associate's Degree in the fall or spring prior to entrance, and who is a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen as defined by FAFSA. An application must be filed with our Transfer & Articulation Office.
Senator Paul E. Tsongas Scholarship
This program will award monies to students who graduated from high school and have been pursing other endeavors for a minimum of five years, and who wish to apply under the Exceptional Life Experience category. A portfolio, essay, or other material demonstrating excellence will be used in determining qualification. The scholarship will be renewed annually for up to four years and for continuing eligibility students will be required to maintain a 3.3 grade point average. The program is open to Mass. residents only.
Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarships
Phi Theta Kappa students are welcome at SSC. We are proud of your accomplishments at the two year college and look forward to having you as part of our community.
Tuition Advantage Program
Mass community college students who are enrolled in Joint Admissions may be eligible for the Tuition Advantage Program. Students must have received their associate's degree within the academic year prior to transfer with a GPA of 3.0 or better to be eligible for a 33% reduction of in-state tuition. Info is available through the community college's transfer officer.
Northeast Consortium of Colleges & Universities in Massachusetts (NECCUM) Scholarship
The focus of this scholarship is to recognize the academic achievement of graduating students from Marian Court College, Middlesex Community College, Northern Essex Community College, and North Shore Community College to NECCUM 4-year institutions. Each scholarship is worth $4,000. Specific requirements can be had by contacting Nancy Callahan-Stronach 978-837-5158.
