Transfer Admissions

You can apply as a transfer student if you attended college after the summer following your final year of high school. We welcome over 1,000 transfers each year from a wide variety of public and private institutions of higher education.

Admissions Application Deadlines

Spring 2009 Admission

Applications for the spring 2009 undergraduate day Nursing program are closed.

Deadline for all other majors: December 8 for application and December 15 for all credentials.

Fall 2009 Admission

To ensure that your application is given the utmost consideration, we recommend that you apply no later than March 1 for fall enrollment (freshman), and May 1 for fall enrollment (transfer and readmit). Some of our majors are highly competitive and require earlier application submission.

Apply Online Requires a valid credit card. Due to an upgrade, the online application will NOT be available from Tues, Nov 25 at 4:00pm to Tues, Dec 2 at noon.

Transfer Admission Requirements

• 12 - 23 college credits with a minimum GPA of 2.5 or,
• Up to 23 college credits with a minimum GPA of 2.0 & meets minimum freshman applicant requirements or,
• 24 or more college credits with a minimum GPA of 2.0

The minimum requirements do not guarantee admission. All acceptances of transfer applicants currently enrolled at other institutions are made with the condition that courses and exams will be successfully completed.

Transfer Application Requirements

• A completed application and the required fee.
• An official college transcript(s) for each college attended.
• A list of courses in which the student is currently enrolled.
• A resume or work history is required if no courses have been taken within the last three years.
• An official high school transcript and SAT scores are required if student has 1-23 credits, a GPA of less than 2.5 and has been out of high school for three years or less.
• Permanent residents must submit a copy of the front and back of their resident alien card.
• Art applicants must submit to the Art Department a portfolio of 10-15 slides of original artwork or slides thereof, in a variety of mediums. CDs of images (jpegs) and online portfolios (emails or websites) are also acceptable. A personal interview is not necessary. • An interview is required for all social work applicants. Please contact the Social Work Department at (978) 542-6629 to schedule an appointment.
• Music applicants are required to audition. Please contact the Music department at (978) 542-6296 to schedule an audition.
