Undergraduate
The curriculum provides an in-depth knowledge of Social Work values, methods, skills and practice areas, preparing students for entry level Social Work competencies in a variety of helping settings and for entrance to graduate Social Work programs. Upon receiving their BSW degree, graduates are eligible to take the exam for licensure at the Licensed Social Workers (LSW) level from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Graduate
The MSW Program prepares students to become change agents in their work with individuals, families, small groups, organizations, and communities. Using ecological systems framework, the advanced generalist perspective emphasizes the person in environment configuration and the transactional relationships within and among micro and macro systems. Students are well prepared for effective, culturally competent social work practice in a wide range of social work settings. Students are eligible for licensure examinations upon graduation.
