Salem State College is a proud sponsor of the 15th National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect (NCCAN). NCCAN is the nation's premiere conference on child abuse and neglect and has been held biennially since 1976. More than 2,000 practitioners, policy makers, community organizers, and researchers will participate in a week long meeting of plenary, workshop and skill-building sessions. The location of this conference in Boston presents an opportunity for Massachusetts to showcase and bring attention to innovative child abuse prevention and treatment initiatives as well as current challenges. Conference attendees will gain new information and resources to use in their work. The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC) is the local host for the conference.
