Brief History of the Organization: The Salem Pantry was formed in 1991 in order to provide Salem residents with emergency food at the end of the month when bills are due but before salary and support checks arrive.

Our Mission Statement: To end hunger and its root causes in Salem.

Our Funding Sources: We obtain funding from various sources including grants from The City of Salem and Project Bread as well as local buisinesses and civic organizations. A substantial portion of our revenue comes from the generous donations of Salem residents.

Hours of Operation: The pantry operates out of the basement of 211 Bridge Street on the last Saturday of each month except in Novemeber and December when it is held on the Saturday holidays. Our doors are open from 9:30 to 11:00 am.

How can you help?
