The following groups give students an opportunity to interact with peers in their academic field. Lifelong friendships and networking are just a few of the benefits of joining.
Accounting Association
Encourages professional interest among students preparing for careers in Business Administration and offers programs geared toward accounting. Contact ext. 6627. Meetings: Mondays, 11:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m., HB103.
Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)
The ACM is designed to foster student interest in the field of Computer Science. ACM hosts many activities throughout the school year to give the opportunity for students interact and learn more about the Computer Science Field. For more info call x6979.
American Marketing Association (AMA)
Internal activities include workshops on resume writing, interviewing techniques, letter writing, dressing for industry, job fairs and career day. Biological Society


Provides an opportunity for biology students to come together and share goals, interests, ideas, and career objectives. The Biological Society also provides tutoring in biology. Contact the School of Arts & Sciences - ext. 6265 Meetings: Bi-Weekly, Mondays, 11:00 a.m. MH533.
Chemistry And Physics Society
Serves students as a guide in locating jobs and in giving direction and information about the field of Chemistry. The Society acts as a link between students and faculty and is open to all students. Contact the School of Arts & Sciences - ext. 6265. Meetings: Mondays, 11:00 a.m., MH426A.
Criminal Justice Academy

Earth Science Association
The ESA organizes, promotes and conducts educational activities to enhance the student body’s understanding of the geological sciences and the earth. Open to all students. Meetings: TBA MH329.

English Society
The English Society works to further the literary environment of the college community through a variety of activities. The English Society puts on many thematic programs such as the annual Halloween Reading and Shakespeare’s Birthday Festival to name just a couple. For more info call x6337.
Finance Association

Future Educators of America (FEA)
This organization expands our knowledge of current educational techniques and practices, network with practicing professionals, and become effective teachers to enrich the future of America's schools. Contact ext. 7043.
Historical Association
A student organization composed of history majors and minors and other students interested in historical study and discussion. Contact ext. 7129.
Mathematical Society
Fosters the appreciation of Mathematics, to promote the spirit of good fellowship, to assist its members in career planning, and to help the Department in its educational mission. Contact ext. 6288. Meetings: Mondays, 11:00 a.m., SB306.
Music Organizations
These groups provide a social and cultural forum for musicians and nonmusicians alike. They include College Chorus, Jazz Band, Chamber/Jazz Singers, Concert Band, Instrumental Chamber Ensembles (Flute, Woodwind, Brass, Saxophone, Percussion, Handbell, and String), Theatre Pit Orchestra, Pep Band, and Music Society.

National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association

Political Science Academy
Promotes political thought and discussion through speakers, trips, and model U.N. competitors. Open to the entire student body. Meetings are held Mondays at 11:00am Meier Hall room 346.

Public Relations Students Society of America (P.R.S.S.A.)
Provides scholarships, internships, leadership workshops, networking, travel opportunities, job placement assistance and a variety of projects students may participate in at a local, regional, and national level. Salem Geographical Society

Sociological Club
Encourages interest among students in the study of the workings and ramifications of society, contributes to the development of the Sociology Dept., and provides an opportunity for sociology students to meet and interact with peers in a friendly and supportive environment.
