Salem State offers many student peer leadership opportunities that allow students to help shape the community in which we live.

Ambassadors Club
Promotes positive community relations for the College. Gives guided tours of the college to high school seniors. To be part of the Ambassadors Club, contact the Admissions Office at ext. 6200.
Orientation Navigators
Responsible for acclimating incoming students to the College community. Applications are available throughout the campus near the end of each Spring semester. For information call ext. 6436.
Convocation and Commencement Ushers
Assist with seating for the two largest academic gatherings of the year. Ushers are needed in the Fall and Spring semesters. For more info contact the Campus Center Office, Room 222, or call ext. 6440.
Program Council
The student organization that develops, organizes, and implements programs which serve the cultural, educational, recreational, and social interests of the student body and the Salem State College community. For more information contact ext. 6445. Meetings: Mondays, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m., MLK Room, Campus Center.
Judicial Board
Responsible for upholding the Student Conduct Code in all judicial cases. Developed as a peer governing system. To become part of the Judicial Board please contact the Director of Campus Center Programs, in the Campus Center or call ext. 6980.
Resident Assistant
Promotes a sense of community within the Residence Halls through programming. The selection process generally takes place near the end of each semester. For more information call ext. 6416.
Leadership Institute
The Leadership Institute is an opportunity for student leaders and students new to leadership opportunities to study leadership. Participants are chosen through an application and nomination process. This process takes place at the beginning of each academic semester. For more information contact: Bruce Perry at (978)542-6435.
Summer Conference Aid
Work as a liaison between Summer conference members and the Residence Life Office. The selection process may vary from year to year but takes place around the end of each Spring semester. Contact the Residence Life Office at Bates Complex at ext. 6416.
Learning Center Tutors
The Learning Center is always looking for peer tutors to help other students in all areas of study. If you're interested in becoming a tutor please contact the Learning Center at ext. 6215, or stop by the Learning Center on the fourth floor of the Library.
