Women's Basketball
Junior women's basketball center Danielle Jenkins of Marlborough, MA has been selected SSC Female Athlete of the Week after earning a spot the Salem State College Christmas Tournament All-Tournament Team.
Jenkins exploded for a season-high and game-high 30 points against Baruch College of NY in the championship title game. Despite scoring over half of her team's points, the Lady Vikings were defeated by the Bearcats.
For the tournament, Jenkins shot 17-for-30 from the floor, 9-for-13 from the line, scored 43 points, grabbed 16 rebounds, blocked 10 shots, handed out four assists while playing an average of 23.5 minutes. SSC defeated Medgar Evers College of NY, 88-35 in the tournament's opening round.
Jenkins was also cited as Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Player of the Week for the second time this season.
In addition to her highwater points total, Danielle, who logged 32 minutes, collected game highs in rebounds (12) and blocked shots (8).

Junior ice hockey forward Jeff Tellier of Chicopee, MA has been selected SSC Male Athlete of the Week after helping lead the Vikings to the Salem State College Classic Tournament championship over rival Bowdoin College.
