"I chose Salem State because as a transfer student I was looking for a school where there was a lot of school pride and a sense of community, unlike the college I was previously attending. A few professors told me about all of the amazing ways to get involved so I decided to come here!"
-
"My work study position is in the academic affairs office on campus. I work about 15 hours a week and do office support projects. From this job I have gained a new sense of respect for the faculty and staff at Salem State, as well as it has helped me focus on my responsibilities as a student."
-
"I am the executive director of the residence hall association, a student-run group that supports residential students. I've met so many wonderful people who are extremely driven to make living on campus a great experience. I also like having my voice heard on issues that students may have with on-campus living."

"My academic experience at Salem State has been challenging. I am majoring in psychology. The professors do not let you slack off. They care about the students and want you to get a great education. The coursework is a lot of work, and I've learned so much."
