Junior Senators
Ahmadou O. Balde
Born and raised in Guinea, Africa, Ahmadou Balde came to the United States in 2007 and started his freshman year at Salem State in 2009. Ahmadou joined Student Government in 2010. He decided to join student government because he intended to represent international students and to make contributions to the campus. One of his favorite quotes of all time was by Martin Luther King: “Victory could be achieved through love, persuasion and justice.” Currently, Ahmadou is the assistant treasurer.
Charles R. Dobre
Charles R. Dobre is an economics major and a political science minor. Currently he is serving in Student Government as a junior senator, focusing his passion about social issues and issues in general that students deal with. He makes an attempt to be in the office as much as he can in order to aide students in their needs.
BJ Kilroy
BJ Kilroy is a junior senator in Student Government. He is a computer science major and a veteran of the Marine Corps, and was deployed to Iraq. He is managing the student surveys and database containing students concerns and issues. BJ is an avid runner and enjoys being active, learning and playing chess. He was the president of the student government at Cape Cod Community College and involved in countless community enrichment activities. BJ thrives on helping people and aspires to program and design robotics for surgical purposes.
