Programs
The program at Salem State examines both the large and formal structures of cultures and the more familial and intimate groups with which persons interact. Studies are available in formal organizations, ethnicity and race, the family, cultural diversity, anthropology, criminology, research, data analysis and community service.

Minors
A minor of 15-18 hours is required for the B.A. and optional for the B.S. Among the possibilities are African-American Studies, political science, psychology, economics, a foreign language, history, interdisciplinary studies, etc. All minors should be developed in conjunction with advisors and with the permission of the departments involved.
