Geological Sciences

Geological Sciences offers classroom, experiential and field-based learning to ensure that all students, academically involved with our department, are exposed to current theories and practices in Earth Science in an environment of academic rigor and ethical scientific practice. Students taking departmental courses learn about the active processes and history of our planet and the relations between humans and Earth. Our commitment is to enable majors to be academically, professionally, and socially prepared for professional life.
