Increasing Your Biology Lab and Activity Repertoire

Facilitators: Zac Billings, Biology Teacher, Lynnfield High School and Adjunct Professor, SSC

Audience: Grade 7 – 12 Biology Teachers

PDP’s: 5 Hours

Dates: Full Day Workshop October 25

Time: 8 AM to 2 PM

Description:

During this workshop teachers will have the opportunity to discuss and participate in a series of frameworks-linked biology labs and activities. The emphasis will be on hands-on, bodily kinesthetic labs.  Possible adjustments for labs due to budget, time or physical restraints will also be addressed. Participants will leave with electronic and paper versions of all material discussed.  Additionally, time permitting, a series of framework related interest-grabbers or hooks will be briefly discussed and modeled for the participants.

Fee: $35 for Member Districts $125 for non-Member Districts
